SS17 London Fashion Week season started last Friday and came to an end three days ago, and I had SO much fun! I gained a new level of respect for the ones who are actually doing NY, London, Milan and Paris back to back.. It’s exhausting and stressful especially when you spend half a day in a Uber stuck in traffic and scared of missing the next show!
What a week! Watching the shows, meeting with the designers behind these exquisite collections, meeting people in ‘real life’ who I had been following on Instagram for years, being able to dive into one of the most exciting weeks of the year in London was amazing.
Here are a few of my many highlights :
The Temperley Show was everything. It felt like being in a dream – the set up, the music, the collection, the people attending, what a beautiful show and of course Alice is one of these designers who totally embodies the brand #girlcrush.
I was there with my uber talent friend Hayden Williams who is one of the biggest fashion illustrator of our generation and if you’re not following him on Instagram, I mean, what are you doing! Click on that FOLLOW button.
The Ashish show was a memorable experience in many ways! The music was mesmerizing, his outfits were not specific to one gender and real snakes were used as accessories. My girl Neelam Grill opened the show, so of course it was a great start for me. But my favorite part of the show was to meet the man himself who was wearing the coolest tee-shirt ‘Immigrant’.
And of course we ended the week with a preview of the Burberry Makers Studio on Manette Street. And that’s really worth checking out- you will see all of the looks from the runway and you can buy them now. You can also see how the collection is crafted and it’s all happening in a stunning space, check it out, it’s open until Tuesday the 27th!
See you next week in Paris!
I am wearing Temperley London on the picture with Alice (duh!) and my grey jumper on the last picture is from Zara 🙂
